- "/NextLibrary/Documentation/NextAdmin/MixedNet.rtfd" says the following:
-
- "Apple files are made up of a data fork, a resource fork, or both. The data
- fork holds the file contents, while the resource fork includes system
- information, such as the name of the application used to create the file. On a
- NeXT computer, a data fork appears with the same file name as on the AppleShare
- server, while resource forks appears as .filename.rsrc. For example, a file
- named Milestones that has both a data fork and a resource fork will appear on a
- NeXT computer as Milestones and .Milestones.rsrc".

-
- I have found that (under 3.0 PR2--I don't yet have the real release) the
- resource fork file (ending in .rsrc) is not shown in the file browser.
- However, you can copy it just fine from a terminal shell.
