  24. Forget this ... ILBM is not old or anything like this, ILBM is the
  25. absolut correct name for the Amiga picture file format. The whole
  26. system is called IFF (Interchange File Format). The first four bytes
  27. inside the file specify the type. ILBM is an InterLeaved BitMap - an
  28. image. There are a lot of other IFF file types for text, sound, voice,
  29. animation, etc.

  31. To convert IFF ILBMs to TIFF use the shell application "iff2tiff". It
  32. can be found on several ftp servers. You may also use Jef Poskanzer's
  33. "pbmplus" package (from ftp servers, too).
