- Hi there,
-
- how can I partition the above Gigabyte HD ? I want three partitions, 25%, 25%
- and 50 %. The manuals aren't very specific about this (at least I couldn't find
- enough infos), FAQs treat only smaller disks.
-
- Anybody done this? BTW the disk seems to work using the standard menu-based
- initaliziation option (= one 900 MB partition), except for a very strange
- change in ownership occuring.
- When changing directories using chown -R on the new disk, owners of other
- directories on the same tree level keep changing while the one wanted is
- reported correctly by ls -l afterwards.
- OS version is 2.1
-
- Is this a size problem, perhaps, or could it have to do with the fact that the
- disk is apparently recognized as an `optical' (an OD icon is displayed)?
-
- Any help much appreciated. Email preferred, I will summarize.
- Regards
