  17. Easiest way is to hold down command-option-p-r while booting. This resets
  18. paramter RAM to default state, which is VM off (The mac will issue the
  19. reset sound TWICE, when you do so. Release the keys after the second
  20. sound). But are you sure that VM is the problem?
