- }Well, according to specifications dircectly from a flyer produced by
- }Microsoft on the upcoming Windows NT:
- }
- } SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- } The Microsoft Windows NT operating system runs on Intel 80386 and higher
- } systems with a recommended configuration of 8 MB of RAM and 100 MB or more

- } What will Windows NT cost? I doubt that it will be as low as what
- }Windows 3.1 and OS/2 are currently selling for. With the multitude of
- }enhancements added as well as multi-platform support, I don't even want
- }to speculate on the price.
-
- I've heard that it should have a suggested retail price of somewhere between
- $300 and $500 for single-user. This may change by the time NT ships, and I
- would expect MS to have a "special" short-term introductory price (kinda like
- what they've started doing with upgrades -- buy now [as in "within the next
- two months"] and save a whole $30 off the cost of upgrading to Excel '92 and
- be the first to discover its "features" -- or upgrade later and pay the full
- amount ["features" still included]).
- I'd rather have a Mac.
