  15. One thing our little friend here forgets to mention is that DOS stinks,
  16. looks ugly, does not multitask and that it belongs to the 80s. Until the
  17. PowerPC comes along, there is nothing in the world that will make me
  18. touch those ugly big fat ...things..., unless I need Quicken. Ah!

  20. I own a MacII, an Amiga w. 68040, and a poor little Atari ST. It's
  21. not that I need 3 machines to do the job that you can do with just
  22. one (I could see that one coming from prretty far), but that each
  23. computer indeed has its fortes and the IBM none (save for Quicken).

  25. If you look at the number of articles in PC mags addressing the issue
  26. of system configuration, optimization and debugging, one can only
  27. think that DOS users either limit themselves to those programs (read
  28. "not small" - the major applications, that is) that will work on their
  29. machines or that they spend their time configuring the bloody things.
