- Netters,
-
- First: if this is the second posting of this message, I apologize; the first
- merely generated a screenful of error messages, but one can never be sure...
-
- Second: on with the show...
-
- My previous posting about SCSI ports on a 512KE was so successful (MANY
- thanks to all who replied!), I have a new question from a different person.
-
- One of the (lucky!) folks here has a Quadra 900 with a built-in Ethernet
- interface. Since we're real careful about registering every new node on
- our net, he can't get a TCP/IP address 'til we get his Ethernet address.
-
- Normally, it's stamped on the board -- but he can't find anything that even
- vaguely looks like an Ethernet address there. He's also tried getting it
- with the "GetMyAddress" program, but that also proved fruitless.
-
- We'd really like to get this guy up on the net. Does anyone out there know
- how to find the Ethernet address of a Quadra 900? Please?
-
- I'd prefer answers via Email, but I'll also be checking out these newsgroups
- again tomorrow. I'd also be glad to post a digest of the answers, if any.
-
- Thanks in advance!
-
