  12. Last week I requested help in how to get my PB140 to behave properly when
  13. plugged in, i.e. it wasn't going to sleep when plugged in, but would
  14. when not plugged in. I had reinstalled the _Portable_ control panel
  15. and clicked _Dont sleep when plugged in_ until I was blue in the face.

  17. Someone responded with what turned out to be the Answer to *MY* problem.
  18. It is pretty obscure (I've been using MACs for 7 years and wasn't
  19. aware, but of course I rarely read the manuals as carefully as I should ;-)
  20. so I thought you'd be interested...

  24. You might try zapping the PRAM (hold down command-option-p-r while starting up).

  30. I didn't have to fix the date. A problem with the appearance on one of my
  31. startup Icons was also fixed.
