  11. A coworker of mine is involved in setting up a good system for
  12. photo-manipulation. He is planning on using Photoshop and is trying
  13. to decide what sort of hardware he needs to run it on. Being a Mac
  14. person who is not into DTP, I don't feel comfortable recommending
  15. things to him without at least some net help. He has already decided
  16. that he needs a Quadra 950 but is unsure about the video and memory
  17. needs of the system. He is willing to fork out the $ to get a 21"
  18. color monitor, but is unsure about any of the details. 
  19. My questions:
  20. 1) Is the internal video on a 950 able to drive a 21" monitor
  21. to 24 bit color (w/2mb vram)? If so, which monitors (Apple, Nec, etc.?)
  22. 2) If not, is an accelerated video card necessary? Nec sells a
  23. non-accelerated card, but would it be fast?  If a card is
  24. necessary (accelerated or not) for 24bit color, what do you
  25. recommend?
  26. 3) What is the best 21" Color monitor? He can get a good price on
  27. a Nec or on an Apple, what do you recommend?
