  25. My wife and I have had one now for about 8 ink cartridges worth.  Overall, it
  26. is a decent color printer with a few drawbacks.  Ours is not (easily) network
  27. capable (the XL version is but not the small one).  If you don't use the top
  28. quality HP PaintWriter paper, the colors will be somewhat muted; they are 
  29. great on the HP paper.  The drivers are compatible with System 7, 32-bit clean,
  30. but the background spooler had trouble with System 7 (before TuneUp 1.1.1) so 
  31. we removed it and have not re-installed it.

  33. If I were looking for an inexpensive color printer now, I would also look
  34. closely at the DeskWriter C.  I don't know which I'd go for.
