- I have not used the SUPRA, but have used various other FAX modems both on PCs
- and MACS, and they work something like this. The FAX software intercepts the
- print command and writes out a file to disk. It then dials the phone and
- sends the data in that file to a fax machine. Effectively, this means you
- have a printer in virtually every office in the world. If you receive a fax,
- you can save it as an image file and then send it through an OCR program - I
- use OMNIPAGE.
