  16. As if the weird modem and SCSI port questions were not enough, here is
  17. another weird problem.

  19. I have Wordperfect 2.0.4 running on a IIsi (works fine) and Quark (a good
  20. product from a lousy company) running on a IIfx.  I type letters on the IIsi
  21. and save them to the IIfx [running System 7 on both].  My letterheads are
  22. Quark templates so I open them, import the WP file, and print from the
  23. IIfx.

  25. A couple of times I noticed that even though I had spell checked my docs in
  26. WP they printed with errors in Quark.  Here is what happens.  Let us say I
  27. come across a spelling mistake, WP offers a replacement, I double click
  28. the correct word, it is replaced in the document, and when all is checked
  29. and done, I save the file.  When I Get Text in Quark BOTH the incorrect and
  30. the correct word show up and are printed.  eg

  40. I thought Wordperfect was writing both words in the file but when I
  41. reopen the document in Wordperfect I just see the correct sentence.

  45. What is going on!?  Of course I will call Wordperfect Tech Support,
  46. probably the greatest in the World for any product/industry, and of course
  47. I do not want to spend $25 to just ASK Quark Tech Support [and they keep
  48. the money whether they can solve the problem or not].
