- A good friend phoned me today frantically stating that
- her IBM PC XT clone suffered a "hard disk boot failure"
- and then when she attempted to boot from a
- floppy the system came up with the cryptic message,
- "Your computer is stoned." I presume her difficulties
- are, at least in part, due to a virus. Am I
- correct?
-
- Is this a known virus and is there any way to recover
- her data?
-
- Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Please e-mail
- to me. I will summarize any successful solution(s)
- for the net.
-
- Thanks.
