- Are there any decent FAX programs for IBM & compatibles? I tried several
- programs, and they stink. Blastfax from US Robotics is still buggy...
- I tried sending a fax the other day and for the date, it put
- SeptemberOctoberNovember 9, 1992... I try Winfax Pro, and if this is the
- best Windows fax program out there, then the PC is in big trouble.
- Winfax Pro has the barest essential functions to send a fax. The program
- won't even let you preview a fax before sending it. There are no desktop
- publishing features in it. You can't preview your coverpage at all, and
- can only preview the other pages after it sends the fax (what's the point of
- PREview?)
- Basically, I'm looking for a good FAX program that will let me compose
- a fax very much like the way I would do it with paper. For example, some
- cut and paste features, using the mouse to draw lines and pictures on the
- page, custom place .PCX and embed other graphic formats onto the page (kinda
- like BBN Slate), place text where I want. Basically, a fax program with
- some desktop publishing features would be really nice...it doesn't have to
- be Pagemaker quality, but at least have these basic features. Composing
- faxes should be easy...Winfax Pro makes it a chore. (Can't imagine what
- regular Winfax is like...)
