  11. I have recently received (third hand) an Everex modem that came without it's
  12. documentation. The modem has written on it "Everex EV923". If anyone can 
  13. tell me what the five switches on the back do, as well as any other info
  14. you might have, please send me email at

  17. P.S.  I got it to connect to the computer, but it seems to be unable to
  18. identify the dial tone on my phone, but when I forced it to dial, it did
  19. and I could here the modem on the other side answering (though my phone)
  20. though not on the internal speaker, and my modem didn't respond.
