  21. ZEOS had had problems in the past with their memory upgrade policies that
  22. customers found to be cumbersome and sometimes expensive to upgrade. By 
  23. going with 36bit SIMMS we can offer more combinations of memory without
  24. sacraficing most of your previous investments. The largest complaint
  25. the we are accomodating is the ability to upgrade from 8 MB to a larger
  26. capacity of RAM without having to replace all the SIMMS on the motherboard.
  27. 2, 4, 8, and 16 MB all can be accomplished with 1 SIMM rather than 4 or 8 
  28. SIMMS. This applies only to the Local Bus Upgradables.  We haven't
  29. forgotten. We just needed to find a better way to accomodate our customers
  30. needs. Oxy's motherboard will use the "Standard 72bit SIMMS". ZEOS'
  31. will use the 36bit.

  36. Back in January of this year, ZEOS being on the 'net was only a concept
  37. that I wanted to push through because I realized the value and the need
  38. to provide levels of support to all users. 9 months later I read statements
  39. like the last line of this message, I find a large smile on my face
  40. and a printer in the background printing the message to give to my supervisors.
  41. They read the messages and they know it was a good decision for them to 
  42. back the continuation and expansion project. :-)
