  14. I have a 386-40 with an ETEQ chipset and an AMI BIOS. The date of the
  15. BIOS that I have is 24Dec90.

  17. From what I read here all sorts of good things (tm) were introduced in
  18. the BIOSs dated after May91 (I would particularly like to have the "boot
  19. from c: by default" option, to make it harder to collect an unwanted
  20. virus on my system)

  22. Does anyone out there run an ETEQ chipset 386, and if so which AMI BIOS
  23. do you have?

  25. My supplier has, to his credit, been quite diligent in trying to get me
  26. a later chip, but his distributer keeps sending the 24Dec90 version. The
  27. only explanation that we can produce is that this IS the latest BIOS....
  28. unless you know differently!

  30. BTW the mother board is produced by "Companion", and to date its working
  31. well. They list an address in California, but I believe it is
  32. manufactured in the Far East.
