  12.   Could someone please tell me if there is major differencies
  13. between IDE controller cards regarding the transfer rate?
  14. I am going to buy a Western Digital 212 Mb IDE - disk at a 
  15. local store, and the salesman tells me that a controller
  16. card to 30$ is just as good as a more expensive one.
  17. Norton's SI estimates about 700 Kb/s with this card. 
  18. Not particulary fast ,is it? Is it likely that the transfer
  19. rate would be better with another card?  And what about
  20. controller cards with hardware cache?
