- | Does anyone know how to erase the password in an old 3com server? I
- | don't know the model, just that it's old. A friend of mine has one

-
- The PS/2's store their password in CMOS RAM. Open the case and pull
- the battery out for about 1/2 an hour, and you'll be surprised at how
- much it can forget. Don't do this, though, unless you've got a PS/2
- Model 70/80 Reference Diskette with all appropriate files to restore
- the hardware settings in CMOS.
-
- I would assume that the 3Com serve is the same, just look for and
- yank the battery. However, I doubt that this will make it any
- more useful <-grin->.
