  12. I have a 14.4k modem that I use to connect to my university.  It says that  
  13. connects at 14.4 with v.42bis compression.  This should be 57.6k right?  Well,  
  14. when I transfer files they come across no faster than 200 cps.  Is this the  
  15. fastest this modem can go?  What do I need to set to increase the transfer  
  16. rates?
