- I own one myself, and I have been quite impressed with it. It comes
- with Central Point Backup for Dos & Windows. It does fit in a normal
- 3 1/2 bay (much to my liking). I've not had a problem with it at all.
- I've probably put about 1gig of data through the drive, and haven't lost
- anything yet.
-
- I do not have the fast floppy controller for it. Backing up is slow,
- through my stock floppy controller, but restoring seems to be relatively
- quick. I won't quote any figures, because I haven't timed them to be
- accurate enough. backing up is an overnight process for a compressed
- 200mb drive, tho. Restoring can be done in real time.
-
- As for price? I can't really say. A dealer I know owed me huge favour,
- so I got it at just a little over what it cost him, and I don't think
- I'm supposed to divulge those prices. It retails for $299, so I'd say
- to expect just under $250... $260 sounds a little high.
-
- Hope this helps.
