- I too bought the CS1024 in 1990. I was told by Gateway that it was the same
- as the MAG monitor. I also saw in one or two reviews that Gateway monitors
- were made by Tatung.
- It seems to me that people in this thread have been assuming that MAG
- actually manufactures the monitors. I see no reason to believe that this is
- true. It could very likely be the case that MAG and Gateway monitors come
- from the same source manufacturer, namely Tatung.
- In any case, my monitor developed three serious problems in two years
- (most recent: no picture, a crippling defect). When I called Gateway, they
- gave me a (714) area code number. Turned out to be MAG Innovision. They do a
- flat rate repair: $125 including return shipping. My monitor never seemed
- quite bright enough when it did work, but the image was otherwise of very good
- quality (excellent convergence, no pincushion, stable). So I will repair it.
- I've had nothing but good experiences with the rest of my Gateway system.
