- I usually "hang out" in the sun workstation newsgroups, so I'm not sure
- if this is the right forum for my question. If not, please enlighten me!
-
- One of my buddies (who I'm always boasting to, along the lines of "I can get
- the answer to any question 10 times faster on the net than any other way")
- has a C. Itoh Model M-8510 dot matrix printer which he has just connected to
- a Leading Edge Model D PC. The printer works, but seems to insert extra
- line feeds and escape characters into the printout. I suspect the DIP
- switches on the printer are incorrectly set, but there may be some totally
- well known explanation in the PC world.
-
- In any case, my buddy has no manual for the printer. Could someone please
- e-mail me a list of the DIP switch functions, and perhaps a comment about how
- to correct the printer problem described above?
-
- Fastest would be to e-mail me as ballen@dirac.phys.uwm.edu.
- The IP number is 129.89.57.19.
- Thanks very much,
- Bruce Allen
