- We have users who complained about this on HP 9000/720 with HPUX 8.05.
- This only happens when people reply to messages (it goes into edit
- mode. So I guess our case is identical to yours). Starting from a new
- message works fine. Loss messages simply vaporized. It does't get bounced
- back to the sender, doesn't bounced back to root and the mail log
- (/var/spool/mqueue/syslog) doesn't show any entry of the message being
- sent or rejected.
-
- I recently installed ELM version 2.3.11 to replace the HP one. It seems
- to work fine so far. At first I thought this version doesn't support
- the HP console softkeys, but someone told me that it does work, provided
- that you enabled the softkey variable in .elmrc. BTW, ELM version 2.3.11
- will compile painlessly under HPUX 8.05.
