Unless you have a fairly special version of this drive (or reformatted it
with 1K sectors), this is a 512-byte sector drive. Anyway, the value for
se# is ignored.

See if you can manually newfs the drive using your disktab entry. Also, check
the major & minor numbers of the device file /dev/rdsk/4s0 (or was that 2s0?--
it's off my screen :-() and make sure they are vali

If these fail, then your disk drive is having trouble.

The HP 720 doesn't like targets (i.e., disk drives, etc.) to initiate the
negotiations for synchronous transfers. Seems to hang the system. However,
this does NOT mean that the HP 720 doesn't do synchronous transfers with
the disk drives; rather, when the 720 is good and ready it sets up the
negotiations for synchronous transfers with its peripherals.
