- Hello!
-
- I've got two 2 Gig 8mm drives, both on DECstation 5000s. Can anybody
- tell me why I might be having problems reading a tape (or tapes, using "tar")
- on one of the Decs that was written on the other? The tape(s) I can't read
- _can_ be read on other Sun and Dec workstations so I know the tapes are OK.
- I am aware that the only 8mm tape manufacturer is Exabyte. Are there known
- compatibility problems encountered due to vendor modifications to drives
- or drivers (i.e. ADS, Falcon, Mountain)?
-
- If its not a problem please respond to djgray@rodan.acs.syr.edu.
-
- Thank You!
-
