  12. Our group recently bought a DECstation 5000/Model 240 and I'm currently
  13. shopping around for some more 8MB RAM modules and a backup storage device for
  14. its 1GB RZ57.  At the moment, I'm looking at a 4mm DAT device called
  15. Archive Python and have no clue as to where to start with 3rd party memory
  16. distributors.  I'm trying to keep the price for all this at around $2K
  17. and since the DEC quoted prices for their items still seemed relatively
  18. high even with their educational discount, I'm attempting to figure out
  19. which cheap 3rd party devices are reliable and fully compatible, i.e.
  20. are device drivers available, etc.
  21. If anyone has had any previous experience with this, I'd appreciate it
  22. if he or she could e-mail me (ddlee@athena.mit.edu).  Any info would help.
