  15.   I'm having a DECstation 5120 with a SCSI-floppydisk, on which I should
  16. be able to use floppy's with a capasity of 2.88M.

  18. When I'm going to format a disk (type RX26K - 4.0M) I get into problems:
  19.   mari11:/dev%newfs /dev/rfd0c RX26
  20.   newfs: /dev/rfd0a: cannot open to read partition table: I/O error
  21.   Warning: missing disk partition table
  22.   newfs: /dev/rfd0c: cannot open: I/O error

  25. I'm not giving up but hopefully try:
  26.   mari11:/dev%rzdisk -f /dev/rfd0c

  28.   Must specify raw device special file.

  31. Since I'm not sure of the difference of raw/char/block-device I try:
  32.   mari11:/dev%rzdisk -f /dev/fd0c

  37. If I try to format a 1.4M floppy disk:
  38. mari11:/dev%newfs /dev/rfd0c rx23
  39.   /dev/rfd0c:     2880 sectors in 80 cylinders of 2 tracks, 18 sectors
  40.           1.5Mb in 5 cyl groups (16 c/g, 0.29Mb/g, 32 i/g)
  41.   super-block backups (for fsck -b#) at:

  44. So that runs fine..

  46. If anyone could help to format a 2.88M floppy, please let me know,
