- I'm not sure how Spectre GCR works. Why is the external drive needed?
-
- Can't it use the internal drive?
-
- Also, can't Dave write some kind of fix for it?
-
- I wonder if Atari contacted Dave Small about the external drive port...
-
- They seem to be putting him out of business... First is was the
- Mega ST expansion port, then there is the Falcon with the increased
- speed that a lot of people will no doubt purchase instead of his SST,
- and now there is no floppy port for his Spectre...
-
- Of course, Atari can't change the Falcon now even if they wanted to.
- It would cost too much. Besides, as someone said before, where could
- they put it?
-
- The only place I see is between the headphone and microphone jacks
- and even that would be a tight fit. Maybe they could put the
- headphone and microphone jacks on top of each other?
-
- This would give them enough room. I'm not sure how much it will
- be used, but all PCs today seem to allow for another floppy besides
- the hard drive.
