  14. I've tried to install emacs-1857 on my ATARIST.
  15. But when I tried to 'dumpemac' the temacs the dumping 
  16. process was stopped, because it could not file
  17. the lisp file paragraphs. I realized that this was 
  18. because I have the standard TOS filenaming method
  19. (i.e., 8+3 chars). Therefore I've tried to install the mfs055
  20. package on one partition (part. g:\). Everything went well but I still cannot
  21. write long filenames on this partition.

  23. What I've done was:
  24.  
  25. 1. MiNT 095 running.
  26. 2. minixfs 055 installed (booting phase of mint).
  27. 3. minit -P -V g:
  28. 4. --- booting ---
  29. 5. mfsconf g: -d b -x n
  30.  
  31. the last step was repeated 3 or 4 times with different options for 
  32. allways the same partition.
  33.  
  34. Long filenames are still not useable for me on this partition.

  36. Is anybody around who can help me. I need to have long filenames
  37. on my disk (not only for emecs 1857 installation!).
