  27. I'm kind of surprised nobody has posted anything to the net about this.
  28. Atari have pretty much canned the ASV project.  At any rate, the team
  29. within Atari has been laid off and all development has stopped. There's
  30. still some rumbling about a resurrection as a third-party product.
  31. The O.S. porting was done outside the company anyway, so it doesn't seem
  32. entirely impossible for that to happen, but I've no idea who has rights
  33. to what and so on.

  35. As far as comments on stability, speed, etc. it's extremely stable at
  36. this point.  The speed is well, about what you'd expect from a 68030 in
  37. these days when many workstations are running with processors with 10
  38. times the performance or more (I spent some time working with an SGI
  39. Indigo recently, which fits into the 10x category).  On the other hand,
  40. it's quite possible to get decent work done on it - I've worked on much
  41. that is far worse.
