- My Uncle uses Drafix for a huge amount of CADD work he does on his Mega
- ST. He shelled out $700 for DynaCADD, but it was MUCH slower than Drafix
- (even though he has a math coprocessor), so it's just collecting dust.
- When I got my Mega STe, he tried running it on it. I didn't have a
- coprocessor, so it was even more unbearably slow than the mega! Funny
- thing was, it ran without the dongle in the cartridge port! Now that I
- have my TT, my uncle tried running it on it. It should be MUCH faster;
- faster & better coprocessor (68882 instead of 68881), and a 32 MHz 68030.
- BUT... it didn't run! It thought the dongle wasn't there! Weird that it
- ran without the dongle on the MegaSTe and didn't run even with it on the
- TT! I've heard rumors that the cartridge port on TT's is a bit different
- from that of ST's & that cartridges need to be modified before they will
- work. How would one go about doing this on the DynaCADD dongle? Anyone
- have similar experiences?
