  20. As you may recall we requested a RFD for a news group in the atari
  21. section to carry all the Z*NET FNET feeds.  Well I guess it was the
  22. old story of no-one wanting it so it is not going ahead.
  23.  
  24. What we have done is placed all the news in a ALT group instead. 
  25. We have over this weekend placed over 200 messages in the news
  26. group alt.znet.fnet relating from things like Bob Brodie (from
  27. Atari Inc USA) talking about the Falcon to people talking about 
  28. the award Z*NET PC won this year.

  30. We have created a series of news groups under the ALT.ZNET banner
  31. being ..

  33.              alt.znet.aeo  <- this is an ascii magazine called
  34.                                Atari Explorer On-line (ex ZNET)
  35.                                and carries not only the magazine
  36.                                but also the discussion on AEO.
  37.              alt.znet.pc   <-  this is also an ascii magazine 
  38.                                dealing with the PC/UNIX/OS2/
  39.                                Windows world of computing. This
  40.                                news group also carries the magazine
  41.                                and other topics of interest relating
  42.                                to it.
  43.              alt.znet.fnet <-  this is the Z*NET FNET gateway. Here  
  44.                                you have a chance to talk back to the
  45.                                FNET conferences. Currently we are
  46.                                running at about 100 messages aday
  47.                                including input from Fido-net as well.

  49. We have not created the alt.znet.zmag at this point as the 8 bitters
  50. have indicated they do not want this magazine in the net at this point
  51. in time. However it is available as well should demand require it.
