  28. It's a 16-bit stereo DAC, but you can set it to an 8-bit mode if you 
  29. want (for STE 8-bit stereo sound compatibility).  It doesn't come with
  30. a microphone (at least as far as I know), but it has a stereo mic
  31. input.  According to Bill Rehbock at Atari, they are planning to
  32. include some kind of sampling software with the Falcon.  They showed
  33. a piece of software in Duesseldorf called "D2D" which was a 
  34. direct-to-disk sampling application with sample editing features and
  35. Bill said that they want to include something like that (if NOT that)
  36. with the basic Falcon packaging.  They also already have several 
  37. 'designed for the Falcon' programs to bundle with the machine including
  38. a few classic games, a talking clock program, and an address/calendar
  39. program.
