- You are, of course, comparing the street price of the Mac with the
- suggested list of the bare bones Falcon.
- I predict that a good street price of the 4meg 65 HD Falcon will be
- less than $1199. Or you could do it yourself for about that much. Now
- for about the same price and same storage space, which one is better?
- I'll pick the one with built-in DSP, amazing sound, and a *lot* more
- colors than black and white. Plus something that's not limited to a
- 16-bit bus. Granted, to make it fair you have to toss in the cost of
- a monitor for the Falcon (let's say ~$300). But you can't get all the
- built-in features of the Falcon for the Classic II for even double
- that amount.
- The Classic II loses in hardware features against the Falcon hands
- down.
-
- Software may be a different story, but I'm expecting to see some
- pretty neat stuff coming out soon to take advantage of the Falcon's
- features.
