- My budget doesn't allow an answer to the question just now, but then they
- aren't on the shelves just yet. What I can say is that I find the Falcon
- very attractive. It appears to have a very interesting mix of features for
- the price. I say this even realizing that I will need to spend a good deal
- more than $700 for what I will want in memory, hard disk space, and screen.
- Of course, I say this partially because I have a lot of effort put into
- setting up my current system (Uniterm, TeX, etc.), and the fact that most
- of my software may just run is seen as an advantage. Given that I have a few
- months before I have enough money to allow a decision, I will probably do
- what everyone should do when considering a computer purchase --- set a budget
- and buy the machine/software combination that best meets my needs/wants.
- And it looks like the Falcon may very well be that machine. Then again, if
- they offer a version with a separate keyboard and a faster CPU, that might
- be the machine I should buy.
