- I asked for help on this newsgroup with modeming to my Unix account from home
- with my Atari 800. I am quite computer-illiterate, (my access to the
- account via Macintosh and telnet requires no Unix knowledge.)

- to lots of folks who helped me via Email, including:
- Jim Johnson, Itay Chamiel, Bill Marcum, Nicholas J. DiMasi, Bob Hardy,
- Null Cypher, Chris Chiesa, Rob Funk, and Jeff McWilliams
-
- Jeff Potter was able to supply an old termcap apparently written and posted by
- Howard S. Nichols. My Sysop was able to change it into a terminfo that gets me
- by for now.
-
- The consensus is that I really need to use a program like Bobterm, VT10SQ,
- Kermit65 or Omnicom.
-
- (The author of Bobterm was reportedly to speak at the SPACE meeting in the
- Twin Cities last Friday, but I was unable to attend.)
-
- It looks like Kermit65 may be the best for me. There is no way I can ftp it
- to the Atari with my current setup. Is there any way I can get it on disk?
- I'd be happy to pay for the disk and the postage. Of course, I will need
- documentation understandable by an idiot...
-
- Please reply via Email, as I seldom get to read newsgroups.
