  29. I called ECON about AutoArc.  They are trying to get it ready for release
  30. before AppleFest -East (in Oct. I think).  It isn't really like AutoDoubler 
  31. on the Mac but more like DiskDoubler.  It is a finder extension/CDEV combo
  32. which allows you to compress files by "selection".  However, files will 
  33. automatically decompress when double clicked ( AWGS data files for example).

  35. I think this is better than an AutoDoubler type of program due to the CPU
  36. constraints of the IIgs.

  38. (... by "selection" is pretty vague.  What I mean is that you select the
  39. compress option from the Extras menu in the Finder and AutoArc will go to
  40. work!  I didn't get any further details than this but the program does look
  41. promising).
