- I have several Sun partitions NFS-mounted on my Apollo network. However,
- one of them gives the following messages when I try to look at data as
- any non-root user over the mount:
- Sep 15 14:03:20 top vmunix: NFS request from unprivileged port.
- Sep 15 14:03:20 top vmunix: nfs_server: weak authentication, source IP address=141.212.66.55
- Sep 15 14:03:26 top vmunix: NFS request from unprivileged port.
- Sep 15 14:03:26 top vmunix: nfs_server: weak authentication, source IP address=141.212.66.55
- Sep 15 14:03:27 top vmunix: NFS request from unprivileged port.
- Sep 15 14:03:27 top vmunix: nfs_server: weak authentication, source IP address=141.212.66.55
-
- For the record, top IS running the shadow password suite (rpc.pwdauthd), and
- the others are not. All Suns are running rpc.mountd with the -n option.
- The problem Sun is currently at 4.1.1, and the others are 4.1.2. Any help
- in resolving this or even a workaround would be greatly appreciated.
