- You probably won't get any reply from C= if you can't; they won't
- want to hurt possible sales. Looking at the provisional specs. for
- the next "high-end" chipset, IMHO there is next to no chance
- you could put it in the A4000.

- Reasons:

- - The use of VRAMs
- - The asynch nature of the system
- - The fact that it is 4 chips. It is a mean feat to put 4 chips
- into 3 sockets. Also some people have said the new chips are
- surface mounted, which if true, removes the possibility of any
- plug-in replacements.

- Maybe if the AA chipset is on a daughter board like the processor
- it might be possible, but I highly doubt it is.

- The fact that another incompatible high-end machine may appear
- later should not stop people buying an A4000. You either want
- it, or you don't. Almost any computer you can buy today won't be
- on the cutting-edge of technology in a year or so.
