- The majority of the system software for the A1000 was done using Sun-2
- workstations (that's BSD Unix) using a Greenhills cross compiler. IBM
- systems were _not_ used. The hardware and chip guys used a Prime
- minicomputer.
-
- Nowadays the system software development is almost completely on Amigas.
-
- (You might have heard that for a long time EA promoted an Amiga
- cross-development environment based on the IBM PC; maybe that's
- what you were thinking of).
