-
- An Amiga application making the big time: The computer graphics for the
- upcoming TV show "Babylon 5" is being done on an Amiga with Video Toaster.
- (This science fiction show will be going to syndication this winter, and
- probably will compete head-to-head with the Star Trek spin-off "Deep Space
- 9".) All the space ships and the space station are rendered in LightWave 3-D.
-
- An article titled "Video Toaster: A Desktop TV Studio" appears in the September
- 1992 issue of "American Cinematographer". (The one with a scene from Twin
- Peaks on the cover.) This magazine is for professional cinematographers
- (Directors of Photography; people who select the lights, select the film,
- and position the cameras). The article gets into the technical aspects of
- setting up and directing a computer graphics scene.
-
- It's nice to see the Amiga given a positive exposure in a professional
- Hollywood magazine.
