  20. Commodore's press conference had a multimedia presentation running on
  21. the A4000. It was darned impressive, and the 8-bit sound certainly
  22. sounded as good as anything probably could coming out of a conference
  23. room sound system. I doubt I would have been able to tell the
  24. difference between 8-bit and 16-bit in that situation.

  26. Sunrise makes some really nice 12 and 16 bit audio solutions. Plug in
  27. a card and Presto! Those who need the better sound can get it, the
  28. rest of us don't have to pay an extra $200-300 for a system.

  30. And Commodore publically stated that better sound was in the works.
  31. I'd rather have a 4000 now than wait another 5-6 months while they
  32. sort out the complications of making a DSP work transparently in an
  33. Amiga environment.
