- Commodore's press conference had a multimedia presentation running on
- the A4000. It was darned impressive, and the 8-bit sound certainly
- sounded as good as anything probably could coming out of a conference
- room sound system. I doubt I would have been able to tell the
- difference between 8-bit and 16-bit in that situation.

- Sunrise makes some really nice 12 and 16 bit audio solutions. Plug in
- a card and Presto! Those who need the better sound can get it, the
- rest of us don't have to pay an extra $200-300 for a system.

- And Commodore publically stated that better sound was in the works.
- I'd rather have a 4000 now than wait another 5-6 months while they
- sort out the complications of making a DSP work transparently in an
- Amiga environment.
