  14. ...The wierdest thing about the Grapevine instructions I got
  15. (I ordered the same 1-meg Agnus upgrade; mine was in a 2000)
  16. was that >NOWHERE< in the instructions did it say to TAKE OUT
  17. THE OLD AGNUS AND PUT IN THE NEW AGNUS.....!!!!

  19. IE, if I (or anyone else) had BLINDLY followed the instructions
  20. (as anyone afraid of harming their machine might), at the end of
  21. the installation, the machine would be safely put back together
  22. BUT THE NEW AGNUS WOULD STILL BE IN IT'S PACKAGE...

  24. (My installation DID go fine, despite that; and the fact that
  25. the "PLCC chip puller (a necessity)" was GARBAGE- a standard
  26. spring-clip DIP puller filed down on the ends.  I tried it a
  27. few times, it didn't do anything except scratch up the old Agnus
  28. pretty badly.  I finally used a bent-needle-nose pliers to pry
  29. it out, worked great.)
