- My brother's A3000/25 doesn't boot now. He is 350 miles away
- so I won't be able too look at it until the weekend, but here are the
- symptoms:
-
- He was last running Prowrite (last version), when he dragged
- the window and clicked on the workbench. He said the wait point spun
- endlessly, so he rebooted. The power light and caps light come on as
- they normally do, but the hard drive and floppy drive are never accessed.
- I told him to unplug peripherals but it didn't help. He says the fan
- comes on and he sees just a white screen, no kickstart messages, no
- boot menu from holding down mouse buttons, etc.
-
- Could someone please list the diagnostic stages of a normal
- boot i.e. grey to light grey or whatever it should be? Thanks.
