- I'm having a weird problem lately with my Amiga 2500-020 with 4 megs of 32 bit
- ram and 1 Meg chip ram. It has the venerable A2090 controller with the Rodime
- 40 Meg hard drive installed. Lately on bootup I've noticed that it takes about
- 5 to 10 seconds for each partition other than the boot partition to mount. I
- haven't changed anything in my startup-sequence recently. I've also gained
- about 4 hard errors on one partition. I backed it up and formatted it with
- Quarterback tools and it didn't seem to map them out so that they couldn't be
- used again.
-
- Anyways, to make a long story even longer. I've got two questions:
-
- Could one of the chips inside my computer be partially fried?
- What program can you use to map out bad sectors? (without having to reformat
- them...)
- Any help will be much appreciated...
