  23.  I have put 2.x in more than a few older machines with no problem at all..
  24.  Now, if you are hearing horror stories about serial cards maybe it's the
  25.  serial card that's the problem. I know of at least one multi-serial card
  26.  which has had problems with 2.xx software and this person wasn't using
  27.  their configuration program (Setting the preferences) that is necessary
  28.  properly.. I think this may be more a software thing and not a firmware
  29.  from my experiences.. Does anyone here concur??
