  34. Here are a few things to check out.
  35. 1. Does the 3000 boot and run OK if the Syquest is disconnected?
  36.  
  37. 2. Does the behavior change depending on whether a cartridge is loaded
  38.     or not loaded? I boot mine without a cartridge and it takes about
  39.     two minutes, with SCSI polling causing most of that delay. With
  40.     a cartridge loaded, it boots in about 30 seconds or less.

  42. 3. Check that partity checking is the same on all SCSI devices.
