- The 8520 was based on the 6526, but it has several differences. Logically
- (for instance, the 8520 has a binary TOD counter, the 6526 some kind of BCD
- TOD counter). Electrically, the 8520 has souped up drive levels on the "B"
- port to allow it to directly drive parallel printers. The 6526 will NOT work
- as an 8520 replacement.
