- My only correction is that it will do a little over 262,000 colors in high
- res HAM8 from a pallete of 16.7 million--not 256,000 colors :)
-
-
- Show me a 486 that can do *THAT*!!!!!! out of the box
-
- This machine is using the same CPU technology as the Mac Quadra 9000--with
- better sound and practically as good vide FOR A THIRD OF THE PRICE!!!!!
-
- Sure the Quadra has 24 bit color, but you still can't do full screen 3ps
- animations on it!
-
- GO COMMODORE!!!!

- Jeff, where have you BEEN?
-
- I can get a 486/33 with 24 bit graphics (Speedstar 24x) easily - the 24
- bit board is an extra $200, or roughly $100 extra after you sell the
- stock VGA card back. Some makers even include the 24x as stock.
-
- 24 bit graphics are nothing new. 8 bit graphics on new Amigas? Blah.
-
- Compares to a Quadra? Sure..but you still have no software. Or 24 bit
- video - that's a big deal. Amiga sellers charge $1000 for 24 bit video.
-
- Sure, it's a decent price. I want SPECS! Start with running AIBB 4.5.8
- on it.
